I just recently started playing Dwarf Fortress on steam.
And wow!
I don't think I have ever played a game as unique as Dwarf Fortress.
The Premise of the game is simple.
You build a fortress for a couple of dwarves.
Brew alchohol for them.
And Boom! You now have an economicaly successful circle jerk of dwarven culture.
Obviously, the game is much more complex than my shitty description.
One thing I like about this game, is the fact that when you loose, you don't get mad at the game like you usually would.
Instead, because 99% of all the horendous tregedies going on at your fort is caused by YOU.
You are more angry at yourself, cause you stupidly decided to make your fort 1 level below ground instead of 32 levels.
I have great respect for Bay 12 Games for making this beautiful masterpeace.
